  24. Yes, I had the same problems with AIX 3.2.4 and xlc 1.2.1.8. This configuration
  25. does not pass the trap test. I have created versions of TeX and Metafont that
  26. have passed trip and trap with gcc-2.5.8 (maybe even with gcc-2.4.5). Both run
  27. fine without any core dumps.
